As standard, Hydro MPC booster sets consist of two to six identical CRI(E)/CR(E) pumps connected in parallel and mounted on a common base frame provided with a control cabinet and all the necessary fittings.

Hydro MPC booster sets are supplied as complete, pre-assembled and thoroughly tested booster sets, ready to install.

Most of the booster sets are available with either CR(I) pumps and/or CR(I)E pumps.

Hydro MPC booster sets are divided into seven groups based on control variants.

Hydro MPC’s outstanding reliability and efficiency is the best possible base for our booster systems. Equipped with the intelligent CU 351 controller, the Hydro MPC boosters offer an even higher efficiency and reduced energy costs. The end result is complete control, optimum flexibility of booster output, and unbeatable efficiency at all times.

Hydro MPC booster sets are fitted with hygienic designed manifolds.

Water Supply

Grundfos Hydro MPC boosters are ideal for mains water supply systems and for pressure boosting in multi-storey buildings. The needs for water in multi storey buildings vary a lot during the course of the day – this demands much from the equipment used. With a Grundfos booster system, it is easy to provide optimum user comfort by maintaining constant water pressure at all levels and at all times.

Industry

Industries can also benefit greatly from a booster solution from Grundfos. If you require constant pressure in the face of highly variable flows, Grundfos has the solution. Even the most demanding applications will benefit from the accuracy and advanced pump control in a Grundfos Hydro MPC booster.

Irrigation

A Grundfos Hydro MPC booster system can help conserve water and optimise crop yields by responding to pre-set minimum and maximum levels. Grundfos Hydro MPC is lenient on the pipe net in golf course irrigation systems and adapts the performance automatically to any number of sprinklers at any pressure zone during the irrigation cycle. It is benefits like these that make Grundfos the perfect choice for irrigation systems.

Grundfos GHP (Grundfos Hygienic self-Priming)

Posted by on Monday, 25 May, 2015

Grundfos’ new range of GHP (Grundfos Hygienic self-Priming) pumps takes efficiency and durability to new levels in sanitary processes.

The pumps are based on the well-known HILGE technology and are further optimised to offer reliable operation even under the tough conditions encountered in cleaning processes.

The single-stage self-priming GHP pumps combine the best of the F&B-HYGIA end-suction pumps with the reliable HILGE technology. The result is an optimised pump range that comes with increased efficiency compared to traditional side-channel pumps and can be counted on for long operational life.

One pump – More applications

Due to the robust construction of the new GHP pumps they are able to handle liquids with a high content of air as is the case in CIP return systems.

In effect, this means that the same pump can be used for product conveyance as well as for the cleaning processes. Compared to side-channel pumps, GHP pumps are also less sensitive to handling products containing particles.

Low noise operation

The GHP pumps feature a new, unique hydraulic technology that allows the impeller to be adjusted to accommodate exact duty-point requirements.

This translates into a noise level significantly lower than compared to traditional side-channel pumps.

Specially designed for sanitary applications

The all-stainless steel GHP pumps have been specially designed for trouble-free operation in sanitary processes such as:

  •  Cleaning processes (CIP return)
  •   Evacuation of tanks and pipes
  •   Pumping liquids with a high gas content
  •   Pumping liquids in Food and Beverage industries

Grundfos APG

Posted by on Monday, 25 May, 2015

The APG pumps are submersible pumps with a horizontal discharge port. They are specifically designed for the pressurised pumping of sewage and wastewater containing destructible solids. The pumps are equipped with a cutter system which cuts destructible solids into small pieces so that they can be led away through pipes of a relatively small diameter. The pumps are available with or without control box and level switch. Pumps without control box must be connected to a separate pump controller with motor starter.

Grundfos APG

Applications

The compact design makes these pumps suitable for both temporary and permanent installation. They are suitable for both free-standing installation and installation by means of an auto-coupling guide rail system. The APG pumps are designed for pumping:

  • Sewage
  • Wastewater
  • Wastewater with high content of fibrous material

Features and benefits

  • Integrated cutting system (APG)

Grundfos RC

Posted by on Friday, 22 May, 2015

Grundfos RC pumps are used for the circulation of liquid refrigerants in refrigeration systems.

The RC pumps have been designed and optimised for use with CO2 as a refrigerant, but can also be used with NH3 (Ammonia) and selected HFCs.

The low required NPSH and the fact that no traditional loss-generating protective devices are needed can help system designers to reduce the dimensions and cost of the system. The RC pumps have an innovative design in stainless steel which makes specially suited for use with high pressure refrigerants (CO2) – the pump has only one seal between the refrigerant and ambient sides. A version with welded connections eliminates the use of counter flanges and possible leakage in flange connections.

Applications

Grundfos RC pumps are designed for the circulation of liquid refrigerant in refrigeration systems.

Features and benefits

  • Barrel-type, semi-hermetic, high-pressure design
  • Multistage centrifugal pump
  • Canned motor (no shaft seals)
  • High energy efficiency
  • Wide range for variable speed capacity control
  • Low NPSHR and robust to vapour bubbles in inlet
  • Installation and service friendly
  • Compact and low weight.
