Grundfos S pump

Posted by on Tuesday, 7 July, 2015

S pumps form the backbone of many sewage systems. They are selected for their strength, their durability, and for innovative features such as the SmartTrim impeller clearance adjustment system and the Smart Seal for leakage prevention.

The SmartTrim system used on the S-pumps makes it easy to adjust the factory-set impeller clearance and thus to maintain maximum pump efficiency.

Grundfos S pump

The Grundfos SmartSeal Auto-coupling gasket provides a completely leak-proof connection between the pump and the base unit of the auto-coupling system. The shaft seal is capable of rotating in either direction. When the pumps are installed with separate pipework, sludge sedimentation can be avoided by back-flushing the system at regular intervals.

Applications

The pumps are suitable for the following applications:

  • Transfer of unscreened raw sewage
  • Transfer of raw water
  • Pumping of water containing sludge
  • Pumping of industrial effluent.

Features and benefits

  • Wide range
  • SmartTrim
  • Operation with/without cooling jacket
  • Submerged or dry installation

Grundfos GHP (Grundfos Hygienic self-Priming)

Posted by on Sunday, 5 July, 2015

Grundfos’ new range of GHP (Grundfos Hygienic self-Priming) pumps takes efficiency and durability to new levels in sanitary processes.

The pumps are based on the well-known HILGE technology and are further optimised to offer reliable operation even under the tough conditions encountered in cleaning processes.

grundfos ghp

The single-stage self-priming GHP pumps combine the best of the F&B-HYGIA end-suction pumps with the reliable HILGE technology. The result is an optimised pump range that comes with increased efficiency compared to traditional side-channel pumps and can be counted on for long operational life.

One pump – More applications

Due to the robust construction of the new GHP pumps they are able to handle liquids with a high content of air as is the case in CIP return systems.

In effect, this means that the same pump can be used for product conveyance as well as for the cleaning processes. Compared to side-channel pumps, GHP pumps are also less sensitive to handling products containing particles.

Low noise operation

The GHP pumps feature a new, unique hydraulic technology that allows the impeller to be adjusted to accommodate exact duty-point requirements.

This translates into a noise level significantly lower than compared to traditional side-channel pumps.

Specially designed for sanitary applications

The all-stainless steel GHP pumps have been specially designed for trouble-free operation in sanitary processes such as:

  •  Cleaning processes (CIP return)
  •   Evacuation of tanks and pipes
  •   Pumping liquids with a high gas content
  •   Pumping liquids in Food and Beverage industries.

Grundfos AeroJet

Posted by on Saturday, 4 July, 2015

The AeroJet is a self-aspirating aerator that keeps aerobic treatment processes running and also helps to avoid odour problems in wastewater storage, as anaerobic zones can be eliminated.

AeroJets are a flexible way of providing both mixing and aeration with the same device. AeroJets are easy to install, operate and maintain, as they do not require any blowers, air distribution piping or control valves.

grundfos aerojet

The flexibility of the AeroJet offers distinct advantages for upgrading aeration capacity to meet increased oxygen demands. It can be used either alone or as a supplement to existing aeration equipment.

AeroJets are available in many different sizes to ensure that all needs can be met, no matter what the size and shape of the tank.

Applications

AeroJets are ideal in applications where aeration is needed to enhance biological processes, to avoid odour problems, or to supply oxygen in:

  • Municipal or industrial WWTP
  • Stabilisation and equalisation tanks
  • Fish farms

Or in applications where flexible oxygen supply is essential:

  • Refurbishment of treatment plants
  • Boosting oxygen supply at peak loads
  • Avoiding oxygen depletion in lakes or channels

Features and benefits

  • Handles both aeration and mixing
  • Self-aspirating aerator – no need for additional air distribution pipes, blowers or valves
  • Submerged aerator increases oxygen transfer time
  • Submerged installation reduces noise and limits aerosol formation at the tank
  • Available as a free-standing unit or with the pump on an auto-coupling
  • Can easily be installed or repositioned even while processes are running
  • Fit all tanks, regardless of size and shape
  • Made completely in stainless steel for strength
  • Fed by a submersible wastewater pump of the SL, SE or S types
  • Large free passage – no clogging

Grundfos RC

Posted by on Friday, 3 July, 2015

Grundfos RC pumps are used for the circulation of liquid refrigerants in refrigeration systems.

grundfos RC

The RC pumps have been designed and optimised for use with CO2 as a refrigerant, but can also be used with NH3 (Ammonia) and selected HFCs.

The low required NPSH and the fact that no traditional loss-generating protective devices are needed can help system designers to reduce the dimensions and cost of the system. The RC pumps have an innovative design in stainless steel which makes specially suited for use with high pressure refrigerants (CO2) – the pump has only one seal between the refrigerant and ambient sides. A version with welded connections eliminates the use of counter flanges and possible leakage in flange connections.

Applications

Grundfos RC pumps are designed for the circulation of liquid refrigerant in refrigeration systems.

Features and benefits

  • Barrel-type, semi-hermetic, high-pressure design
  • Multistage centrifugal pump
  • Canned motor (no shaft seals)
  • High energy efficiency
  • Wide range for variable speed capacity control
  • Low NPSHR and robust to vapour bubbles in inlet
  • Installation and service friendly
  • Compact and low weight.
