Posted by on Saturday, 11 April, 2015

Grundfos NK/NKG pumps are used in water supply, industrial pressure boosting, industrial liquid transfer, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), irrigation and process industries. Grundfos end-suction pumps are multi-purpose pumps suitable for a variety of different applications requiring reliable and cost-efficient supply. End-suction pumps are used in five main areas of application: water supply, industrial pressure boosting, industrial liquid transfer, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), and irrigation.   The pumps are all non-self-priming, single-stage, centrifugal volute pumps with axial suction port, radial discharge port and horizontal shaft. The Grundfos NK/NKG range comprises a complete series of long-coupled pumps that comply fully with either EN733 or ISO2858. Grundfos RC

Posted by on Saturday, 11 April, 2015

Grundfos RC pumps are used for the circulation of liquid refrigerants in refrigeration systems.

The RC pumps have been designed and optimised for use with CO2 as a refrigerant, but can also be used with NH3 (Ammonia) and selected HFCs.

Grundfos RC

The low required NPSH and the fact that no traditional loss-generating protective devices are needed can help system designers to reduce the dimensions and cost of the system. The RC pumps have an innovative design in stainless steel which makes specially suited for use with high pressure refrigerants (CO2) – the pump has only one seal between the refrigerant and ambient sides. A version with welded connections eliminates the use of counter flanges and possible leakage in flange connections.

Applications

Grundfos RC pumps are designed for the circulation of liquid refrigerant in refrigeration systems.

Features and benefits

  • Barrel-type, semi-hermetic, high-pressure design
  • Multistage centrifugal pump
  • Canned motor (no shaft seals)
  • High energy efficiency
  • Wide range for variable speed capacity control
  • Low NPSHR and robust to vapour bubbles in inlet
  • Installation and service friendly
  • Compact and low weight.

Grundfos Backwash

Posted by on Friday, 10 April, 2015

Backwashing refers to the reverse-pumping of water, for example for the periodic washing of filters. Grundfos can supply pumping solutions that deliver the very strong force with well-executed flush times and speeds required for effective backwashing.

grundfos backwash

Backwashing is a form of preventive maintenance to prevent further clogging of the filter medium. Backwashing in water treatment plants is an automated process, usually run by programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The backwash cycle is usually triggered when the differential pressure over the filter exceeds a set value.

Grundfos can supply pumping solutions to cope with the hugely varying flow requirements for backwashing, ranging from huge split-case and mixed-flow pumps, where the focus is on moving water rather than added pressure, to our highly successful vertical multistage centrifugal pump (CR) – and covering all performance requirements in between.

Grundfos can supply the specialist expertise to help meet your performance objectives, from the initial identification of needs, to the selection, installation, operation, and maintenance of the pumping solution. Grundfos commissioning agreements ensure correct installation and service agreements cover all eventualities, from routine maintenance to spare parts and pump audits.

SB

The Grundfos SB is a submersible pump for the pumping of clean water. It is designed for use in domestic applications. The pump itself is very silent, and when installed underground in a rainwater collecting tank or well, noise will never become an issue. The SB pump requires an external controller, like Pressure Manager, for automatic operation.

Features and benefits

  • Flexible selection – Pump + controller
  • Complete control and monitoring
  • Easily accessible controller – for service & replacement

Grundfos SB

SBA

The new Grundfos SBA is a complete all-in-one unit. It is built on the proven SB platform, but comes with an integrated control unit – eliminating the need for an external pump controller.

The SBA is literally a plug- and pump solution. Once installed and connected to the piping, all you need to do is switch on the pump.

Features and benefits

  • Easy selection – one unit
  • Easy installation – one unit
  • Flexible installation – no controller inside the house

All SB and SBA pumps are available in two main variants

  • With integrated suction strainer (1 mm mesh)
  • Or with side inlet/flexible suction hose with floating suction strainer (1 mm mesh).

All variants are available with or without float switch:

The float switch offers automatic operation and dryrun protection, stop at low water level, ensuring that surface fragments do not enter the strainer.

Applications

The SB and SBA pump is a submersible booster pump for the pumping of clean water. It is especially suitable for rainwater applications.

Features and benefits

  • Noiseless operation
  • High reliability
  • Integrated protection.
  • Floating suction strainer

Additional features of the SBA:

  • Simplicity – all-in-one unit
  • Easy installation – no external control unit
  • Integrated dry-running protection
  • Automatic restart after dry-running
  • Lifting eye

GHP (Grundfos Hygienic self-Priming)

Posted by on Wednesday, 8 April, 2015

Grundfos’ new range of GHP (Grundfos Hygienic self-Priming) pumps takes efficiency and durability to new levels in sanitary processes.

The pumps are based on the well-known HILGE technology and are further optimised to offer reliable operation even under the tough conditions encountered in cleaning processes.

Grundfos ghp

The single-stage self-priming GHP pumps combine the best of the F&B-HYGIA end-suction pumps with the reliable HILGE technology. The result is an optimised pump range that comes with increased efficiency compared to traditional side-channel pumps and can be counted on for long operational life.

One pump – More applications

Due to the robust construction of the new GHP pumps they are able to handle liquids with a high content of air as is the case in CIP return systems.

In effect, this means that the same pump can be used for product conveyance as well as for the cleaning processes. Compared to side-channel pumps, GHP pumps are also less sensitive to handling products containing particles.

Low noise operation

The GHP pumps feature a new, unique hydraulic technology that allows the impeller to be adjusted to accommodate exact duty-point requirements.

This translates into a noise level significantly lower than compared to traditional side-channel pumps.

Specially designed for sanitary applications

The all-stainless steel GHP pumps have been specially designed for trouble-free operation in sanitary processes such as:

  •  Cleaning processes (CIP return)
  •   Evacuation of tanks and pipes
  •   Pumping liquids with a high gas content
  •   Pumping liquids in Food and Beverage industries.
