Grundfos Unilift KP

Posted by on Wednesday, 13 May, 2015

Unilift KP pumps are submersible drainage pumps for pumping drain water or grey wastewater. The KP is suitable for both temporary and permanent free-standing installation or installation in collecting tanks.

All Unilift KP pumps can be supplied with or without a level switch for automatic or manual operation. The strainer is clipped onto the pump housing and can easily be removed for cleaning and maintenance.

Grundfos Unilift KP

The robust design – all metal parts in contact with the pumped liquid are made of stainless steel – makes it ideal for rough environments. The outer casing is made in one piece. The motor is a canned motor with liquid-filled rotor chamber and water-lubricated bearings.

The motor incorporates automatic overload protection which cuts out the motor in the event of overload. When it has cooled to normal temperature the motor restarts automatically.

Applications

The Unilift KP pumps are designed for the pumping of:

  • Water from rivers and lakes
  • Rainwater, drainage water and water from flooding
  • Water for filling/emptying containers, ponds, tanks, etc.
  • Effluents from showers, washing machines and sinks below sewer level
  • Pool water
  • Ditch drainage water
  • Lowering groundwater
  • Domestic effluents from septic and sludge-treating systems
  • Effluents from viaducts, underpasses, etc.

Grundfos Hygienic self-Priming (GHP)

Posted by on Tuesday, 12 May, 2015

Grundfos Hygienic self-Priming

Grundfos’ new range of GHP (Grundfos Hygienic self-Priming) pumps takes efficiency and durability to new levels in sanitary processes.

The pumps are based on the well-known HILGE technology and are further optimised to offer reliable operation even under the tough conditions encountered in cleaning processes.

The single-stage self-priming GHP pumps combine the best of the F&B-HYGIA end-suction pumps with the reliable HILGE technology. The result is an optimised pump range that comes with increased efficiency compared to traditional side-channel pumps and can be counted on for long operational life.

One pump – More applications

Due to the robust construction of the new GHP pumps they are able to handle liquids with a high content of air as is the case in CIP return systems.

In effect, this means that the same pump can be used for product conveyance as well as for the cleaning processes. Compared to side-channel pumps, GHP pumps are also less sensitive to handling products containing particles.

Low noise operation

The GHP pumps feature a new, unique hydraulic technology that allows the impeller to be adjusted to accommodate exact duty-point requirements.

This translates into a noise level significantly lower than compared to traditional side-channel pumps.

Specially designed for sanitary applications

The all-stainless steel GHP pumps have been specially designed for trouble-free operation in sanitary processes such as:

  •  Cleaning processes (CIP return)
  •  Evacuation of tanks and pipes
  •  Pumping liquids with a high gas content
  •  Pumping liquids in Food and Beverage industries.

Grundfos CR, CRE, CRN, CRNE, CRI, CRIE, CRT, CRTE

Posted by on Monday, 11 May, 2015

The CR range offers pumps of unmatched reliability that can be intelligently tailored to suit an infinite variety of applications. Since Grundfos invented this type of multistage in-line pump in 1972, many imitations have appeared on the market. However, four decades on, this latest generation of CR pumps, with their traditional efficiency, reliable performance and adaptability, remain the wisest choice.

The basic CR pump range is available in four different materials: cast iron, two grades of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, and all-titanium. There are 13 flow sizes, capable of producing up to 50 bar of pressure, and with a variety of shaft seals and rubber materials. The modular building system means you can choose a version to meet almost any pump requirement, handle difficult liquids and the most demanding operating conditions.

Grundfos CR

International studies* show that by far the most significant long-term energy savings can be made by optimising system design and control. Therefore, Grundfos iSOLUTIONS (intelligent solutions) philosophy takes a holistic view of systems and applications, rather than just supplying pumps. This means you are guaranteed an unparalleled level of service throughout the life cycle of the chosen solution.

Applications

Multi-purpose CR pumps can be adapted to applications, ranging from simple domestic installations to heavy-duty industrial settings. These include: process water systems, hygienic washing and cleaning systems, seawater systems, water treatment, pumping of acids and alkalis, boiler feed, and applications involving temperature control with exposure to very high, low or fluctuating temperatures.

Whatever the particular challenges of your installation – for example, limited space, earthquake risk, high altitude or certification issues – the CR range has all bases covered.

Features and benefits

  • Quality and reliability built on over four decades of continuous Grundfos testing and refinement
  • Corrosion-resistant pump modules that can be combined in multiple ways to meet almost every conceivable requirement.
  • Streamlined design to save space
  • Grundfos MGE motor with integrated frequency converter to allow multi-speed operation and deliver optimal pump performance
  • Special pump solutions to cope with extraordinarily high pressure, temperature extremes and liquids that are very aggressive, abrasive, hazardous, hardening or flammable

All variants are available with or without float switch:

The float switch offers automatic operation and dryrun protection, stop at low water level, ensuring that surface fragments do not enter the strainer.

Applications

The SB and SBA pump is a submersible booster pump for the pumping of clean water. It is especially suitable for rainwater applications.

Features and benefits

  • Noiseless operation
  • High reliability
  • Integrated protection.
  • Floating suction strainer
